1522 suppressor question
Hi guys - I’m usually posting on the pistol part of the forum but since I just picked a new 1522 at a local gun show this weekend I thought I might ask a question or two. So I picked up the standard model and would like to dress it up a bit, I ordered a red/green dot scope nothing fancy to start, an extra rail, sling swivel and a bipod, my question- is there any type of barrel flash surpressor I can install without having a threaded barrel? I remember years ago buying one for a 10/22 that just attached with an Allen set screw.

A suppressor needs a solid (threaded) attachment to avoid a baffle strike. You will need your barrel threaded 1/2x28.

Check out Tandencross. They and othesr have what you want. Slides on the bbl.. Tightens with allen screws and you can screw your FLASH suppressor right onto it.

Yep - you are correct. But even a flash suppressor would look better screwed on and then... you are ready when the mood hits for a real suppressor...

Just take a 2 liter soda pop bottle and duct tape it on. Suppressors on 15-22s work as long as you don't try to run wimp ammo(which turns the gun into a hand cocker).
