Default Seekins Enhanced Bolt Release

Anyone else experienced oddities with aftermarket bolt releases?

Been building some AR's for my 8yo daughter. In the build today of her MP15-22 I was adding the Seekins Precision Enhanced Bolt release and it went in fine. Once I completed the other upgrades within the lower, I test fitted a mag and checked for proper operation of the mag release and all other functions as one does after tinkering.

The mag would no longer fall free from the magwell, I could easily strip it from the gun with no ticks, hangups, shelves, notches, or anything felt or perceived. Tested it for approx. 15 minutes wondering WTH was going on. So of course I started 1 by 1 removing the upgrades until I found the culprit....

The Bolt Release.

I have the original back in and the mags drop free fine. Was just hoping to give her tiny hands a bigger target to smack when sending the bolt home and preparing to run a stage.

Could well be that the seekings is designed for an AR but the 15-22 is NOT an AR so tolerances May well be slightly different.

Why not go for an SBR by NDZ performance? Won’t give an oversized pad to “Smack” but will give an easy bolt release with a simple move of the finger from one position to another with very little effort.

Added bonus is that said finger will definitely be OFF the trigger when bolt is released.

Just a thought.
