so this link is for the red dot, on a high riser block. for $59.97 .
and the link I saw was just for the TRS-25 Red dot ( $51.99 ) .. and they show as an option a UTG Med pro compact riser 0.83" ( $6.92 ) .. and another option of UTG HiProfile riser 1" .. ( $9.58 )
so it sounds that is three options:
Red Dot
then utilize the Hi riser block..
or the .83 riser
or the 1" riser
is the block somehow better/worse/different than either of the two risers.. ?
for the price.. might just get all three and experiment with which riser works best for me.. ( unless the block offers something different that those two other picatinny risers )
I installed the Bushnell HiRise on one of my ARs without the included riser and no way was that going to work. Whatever the height is of the included riser was just right for my cheek-hold, etc. For the near-giveaway price, it's a nice little red dot.
$13, all you need to use the dot or cowitness iron sights through dot center scope. It works great, unless you want to spend $70 for another piece of aluminum that does the same thing.
I use the .83 since the MBUS can fold out of the way and it give me a better cheek weld.
I have mine the same way. Plus this allows you to do a quick zero check
with the dot on and the folding sights up. They should line up
if neither has been bumped or otherwise disturbed.
Then re-fold the back-ups and just use the dot.
I also detach the FF3 from the mount and use it on my revolvers attached to a Raptor mount made by forum member revolver ph.Great for testing my revolver reloads.
