Default Volquartsen versus S&W factory extraction pin

Hello to all,,yep I'm new to the 15 22 world, love the helpful discussions in this form,,All over you tube are fixes for m& p 15 22 extraction issues which I've expierence ,,and it's horrible,,How much diffrence is noted changing extraction to a Volquartsen rather than just buying a new factory traction pin from smith and Wesson

Had problems with my 1522 so decided to try the Volquartsen never had a problem after I think the SW one is to soft and does not grab the case well enough to extract The Volq one in my opinion is worth trying for the price it solved my problem.
Don't now why SW don't use them best upgrade I've purchased. Also make sure your loading the magazine properly as this also can cause issues.

The bigger issue seems to be how the ejector is adjusted. A different extractor may be better but once the ejector is correctly adjusted it seems to not matter.

Tried all the adjustments with mine, replacing the extractor with the Vol solved everything.

Never had a problem with the factory extractor but swapped to the Vol (and kept the original as a back up) and its ejects a lot more forcefully

I had the same problem right out of the box with FTE. Adjusting the ejector didn’t help but the Vol extractor cured the problem. How can S&W still keep using their extractors instead of the Vol extractors? Doesn’t make any sense. It has been years with this problem and they still have not corrected it. My 15-22 is brand new and had to have a replacement part. Was not going to send it to S&W for that fix.
