Yes. Get a can of Brake Cleaner (from auto parts store) and thoroughly clean your bolt assy. Run it DRY. NO OIL. I mean that literally, NO OIL. That's how they run best. This isn't an AR-15.
I shoot competitively (rimfire challenge, steel challenge, etc) and reliability is essential. My Ruger 22/45s are run WET (what most would say is too wet) with a lube with water like viscosity and my 15-22s are run DRY.
The other issue can be dirty chambers. I use a .243 bore brush on a piece of cleaning rod spun by a variable speed drill motor. Clean only the chamber this way. Don't go down into the bore. You'll be amazed what comes out of a chamber you thought was clean...
