Talking MP-100 Resolved

HI guys
I bought the M&P 15-22 with the MP-100 sight on it.
Looking through the scope it doesnt look like a dot
it looks more like half a circle with lines shooting down and to the sides.
I know this is a low end sight but do you guys get a normal round dot when you look through it or suffering from the same issue?
just to make sure its not just me I asked 4 other people to look at it and we all see the same thing

** EDIT**
I called smith&wesson they said it sounds faulty to them and sent me a shipping label to have it replaced.
thank all the helpers

If you turn down the intensity do the lines go away? Mine only looks like that if I crank the intensity up. The MP-100 is considered a low-end optic. A lot of people replace it with something like a Bushnell TRS-25 or -26 or a Sig Romeo5.

Speaking of the MP-100 (and forgive me for hijacking the thread), but does anyone know of an online source for a PDF of the MP-100 manual?

Hold the sight out where you can see the dot/
reticle, and rotate the sight, keeping the dot
visible.

If the weird pattern rotates as your rotate the
sight, it's a defect in the sight itself.

If the weird pattern stays as sight rotates, it's
something in your vision--astigmatism, etc.

Thank you I'll try it.
I had 4 other people look at it to make sure it's not just me and we all see the same thing.

It's looks almost the same even on the lowest setting.
It looks slightly better when you look at very very bright areas on the lowest setting.
But still doesn't like like a round object

Any way you could take a photo showing the dot and the lines and post it?

It would be odd for everyone who looked at it to have astigmatism. Chances are at least one of them has glasses that would correct astigmatism.

The funny thing is I let my girl who has astigmatism look at it and she is the only one who sees a circle
