Went to the range yesterday with a 15-22 and a 15. I was going to "warm up" with the .22 and then shoot the 5.56. My" warm up" was 2 hours and never touched the 5.56! Great time shooting the 15-22

I have both those rifles as well and usually take both to the range. I do prefer to shoot the 5.56 but the ammo price sure is more friendly with the 22. My son on the other hand actually likes the 22 better, and he's 28 not a little kid.

I'm just getting started reloading so I can shoot the AR more, but I still like the 22 as well.

Same thing with my family. Aside from the 2 Army veterans, every one else prefers shooting the 15-22 over the 15. Less expensive to shoot long sets, lighter in weight and so much quieter.
