Default Removed the bolt and Plunger fell into my lap?

Brand new, was disassembling for familiarity. Have not shot it yet. I pulled the bolt out and the extractor plunger fell into my lap..? But the bolt assembly is in proper working order. Is there a 2nd plunger location I am unaware of? I have a lot to learn and I cannot figure out where this came from.

If your bolt has the complete extractor assembly installed; spring, plunger and extractor, then you got a bonus part. That plunger is only used in one place.

I think you may have lost your extractor and plunger spring if the plunge just fell out, its kept in under tension between the two.
