No recommendations but the ones that have always caught my attention at gun shows are the grips that convert to a bipod. Lots of cheap ones out there but if I ever got one it would be a military grade version.

I've never used one, cause they don't work with my natural
preferred hold on a rifle... But, I have enjoyed several of the Magpul
accessories. That's a pretty simple add-on, and it probably wouldn't
matter so much as to brand.

You may already know this, but don’t put one on an M&P 15-22 pistol. The ATF has ruled that doing so makes it an NFA gun.

There's a few different kinds to choose from so get what works best for you.
Tango Down 'Stubby' VFG (on QD mount)
BCM Gunfighter KAG (Kinesthetic Angled Grip)
Or you could go with something like a MagPul AFG, or RVG
AFG-2(R) - Angled Fore Grip
RVG(R) - Rail Vertical Grip
Daniel Defense makes a nice VFG, too
M-LOK(R) VERTICAL FOREGRIP – BLACK | Daniel Defense

*Agree. That is what I am going to look for. I ordered x2 vertical grips to use at the range. (YankeeHillMachine and a generic grip).
*Want a bipod and will look for one locally so I can see it first hand. Want a good bipod for target shooting down the road.

I prefer an angled foregrip or finger stops. The holding onto a vertical foregrip is a more awkward position.
