I ended up getting a 15-22P as part of a set I bought. I tried researching it online to see that they started making it in 2010 but I couldn't find when they stopped.
I'm trying to get a feel of how collectible it might be.

Don’t think it’s discontinued. Palmetto has them on sale this week.

I have read that it was discontinued, but never as an official
statement from Smith and Wesson.

It was originally released a number of years ago, then went out of production for several years. It returned about a year ago, this time with a brace. I don't know the dates.
