Aftermarket grip for M&P?
Just wondering if anybody has found a aftermarket backstrap (BS)for the M&P? The factory grip on my M&P45 full size (with small BS installed ) fits my hand well but I'd like a bit more tacky/rubbery feel. I'm thinking somebody might make a replacement BS with a real rubber coating. Seems like it would be an easy thing to manufacture.

Burwell Gunsmithing does backstraps, although I think he redoes yours.
You can google his website.

Doh! Another senior moment. I'm familure with is reputation for M&P trigger jobs/mods. ( Just did my own trigger based on the info on his websight.)
I'll look into it ASAP. I'd likely just order a new backstrap from Brownells and have it shipped right to him.
Thanks for the smack in the back of the head! ;-)

I'm pretty sure that included in his price for doing the sharkskin or stipple on the back-strap is the basic part itself.
No need to order a new one.
Check with him to be sure.

The accurate iron insert looks like the ticket. Can you tell me what material it uses in the textured area? Is it similar to stock "feel" or are they using a different compound?

The Horizontal and Starburst are re-textured factory inserts, the Comp/Duty inserts are covered with a special adhesive and grit.
