M&P Fiber Optic Sights

For those that are using or have used. I am looking at purchasing fiber optic sights for my full size m&p40, (I don't remember the brand.) Is it better with just a front sight or with the front and rear sights both fiber optic? red or green? Thanks

I would recommend Dawson Precision.

I've switched the front on my 9Pro with the Dawson, Novak would be another one to look at. I prefer just the front with a plain black rear on my guns.

Dan Burwell put a Dawson on mine; a narrower blade and smaller spot than what S&W uses on the Pro.
I prefer F.O. front and black rear.

I haven't had them on my M&P, but I had a Glock 35 with a set of Tru-Glo f/o sights on it and I loved them. I believe they were red/green and it worked great for target shooting.

Now if Tru-Glo would just....(Sorry? Everyone's used to my ranting about them NOT making a F/O with Tritium insert for S&W guns)
Till then.....
Novak Fiber Optic Sights

Were I doing it, I'd go the Novak Wide Notch rear (plain black) and your favorite color choice up front.

Mine were just fiber...no tritium.

What about HiViz?

HiViz sells a front sight for the M&P which can be bought at Midwayusa for about $30. I am curious how well they work with a holster. I have a fobus that works great with the factory setup sights. What is the thought pattern for chosing red vs green?

Here is a shot of the Novak adjustable rear, I have the front also.

Personal preference. I prefer red because I can see them a little better, but I have a little green/blue color confusion with my eyes.
