Default M&P 9 magazine depth

Hey you M&P 9mm owners: I've been asked about the feasibility of conversion of a 9x19 M&P to 9x23. It raises various questions, some easy, some hard. One of the easy questions is whether the magazines are deep enough, front-to-back, to contain a 9x23 cartridge. That is, it's easy if you have one of the mags and a few rounds of .38 Super, which is the same case length and same OAL as 9x23. Unfortunately, I don't have one to measure.

So, I'm asking for a bit of help here: Could one of you M&P 9 owners take one of your mags and see if you can get more than 1 or 2 rounds of .38 Super in it? (Or even 9x23, if you happen to have some.)

Since the 9/40 mags are designed for a max overall length of 1.169" they won't fit the longer 9x23, 10mm or .45 bullets.

That's what I thought, but was not sure. Thanks, Handgunner!
