Default Welcome to the M&P Auto Section!

As you can see, we have added a sub-forum for the M&P Auto pistols.

S&W is pursuing a large market share of the police market with the M&P Autos. This always leads to a corresponding rise in civilian use of a particular product line.

We have observed that the traffic here about the M&P Autos and the Sigma series is overshadowing discussion of the older S&W autos.
We forsee an ever increasing amount of discussion traffic for this series as more and more versions and more aftermarket products appear.
We believe a sub-forum for the M&P Autos, and a sub-forum for all the generations of the Sigma will enhance smooth discussion for all types of S&W Autos.

We have done our best to separate all threads relating to the M&P Autos into this sub-forum. If you find threads we missed, simply use the "Report this Post" feature in that thread, and we shall move them speedily.

I'm glad to see separate sub-forums for both the M&P's & Sigma's. Nice move on the part of those who operate behind the curtain!

Excellent Lee!!! This has been a needed addition for some time. I'm an ol' 3rd gen guy with a new M&P. It will help a lot to be able to see info specific to each pistol series.

Cheers,
Sam

Yes I like the sub forums also. I am hooked on the S&W 4003TSW, 4006TSW & the 410S. But you have to have a pocket of gold to get one. As they are no longer made, is S&W coming out with another model like them. I AM STUCK ON HAMMERED AUTO SA/DA SS GUNS
Can you tell me any new gossip on this subject. I have a Signa now, Like it but MISS THE HAMMER

I am new to the forum so excuse me if I am asking this question in the wrong area. My question is... it looks to me like the .32 auto cartridge can be fired in the .35 S&W auto without a problem (except for accuracy). Can anyone confirm this? Much thanks.

Ok, it looks like I'm in the right group to start participating in the S&W M&P plus cousins forum. New girl here, and this is my first post since doing an intro. Thanks to all who read and reply to my query. I have a 4035 tactical DAO, and just recently acquired the new SD 40. I like em both, but the tactical is loosing popularity with me as my aging fingers bellyache about the loooooong harrrrd trigger pull. And my old vision corrected eyes are wishing for an optical gun sight that won't make em strain. So here's my question; Are the HOLOgraphic sights the better way to go when abandoning the iron sights? If this is the best option, then how does one go about attaching these little windows to the top of the reciever. My guess is that I need some kind of adapter that slides into the dovetail slot after removing the rear sight. Otherwise I'd need to get a picatiny rail installed between the rear dovetail slot and the ejection port. I'll want to do this mod to both weapons eventually but I'll start with the 4035 since the SD is my cc choice and needs to remain compact. And too, it has the nice little glow bug Trijicon up front that I'd like to keep operable for potential dusk and dawn encounters.
Thanks for considering this question, Scooter

Default M&P 45

Have always been a fan of the 1911 platform and most likely shall be though I must admit this M&P 45 has tweeked my interest when carrying a full sized pistol concealed. This particular pistol was returned for the Custom Shop's outstanding action touch.

Pete
