I agree you will be well served with the Apex sear, based on my limited experience. It works as advertised and the only qualm I have is that the trigger pull in my M&P9L is actually a bit too light for my taste. If I carried the gun, I would not use it. For the range, it is fine. Installation is no problem, but do watch putting it back together. You can bend the parts if you don't get them properly lined up and force them. Reassembly takes nothing more than finger pressure.
I think Apex now has another sear that gives a better quality pull than the factory parts and ends up in the range of 5-6#. There is a thread here about it that should be easy to find with a search.
