Default Just bought the M&P 45

I have been looking for a 45 since I sold the glock 30 and I finally found something for my needs. I honestly love the way the gun feels and haven't taken it too the range yet. So what website do you guys order from for different triggers and upgrades. Just mailed to 2 free magazines off too, I hope it goes better than my m&p 15 did, they lost the coupon so I had to resubmitt it.. Can't wait to go to the range. Oh yea it's a LE version night sights, 3 mags and I got it for around $520 out the door.

Apex Tactical or Speed Shooter Specialities have all the upgrades available on the market for the M&P in terms of trigger, sights, etc and Botach Tactical has the best deal on mags at $19 per for either the 10 or 14 round versions.

Congrats on the new M&P 45 she is a fine weapon. I have shot one, and loved it, now find myself saying "when" I buy a polymer gun instead "if", it will be the M&P 45. Enjoy your first range trip.

The M&P .45, when I qualified with it , the pistol belonged to a friend of mine...well I own it now. The M&P .45 is VERY accurate, my patterns and score was at it's highest point I've ever shot. Smith & Wesson did their home work on designing this pistol!

Will I finally went to the range with it yes it was accurate, but only on the first shot because the follow throught on the second was not nice because of the bad trigger.. I don't really know what to do but the trigger kind of feels like sandpaper inside are something to that effect. It might be time to just trade for a glock 21 who know??

Keep shooting/dry firing it! They keep on getting better and better...No need for a trigger job...take the money you would have spent on that and get more ammo. It REALLY does work.

I took mine out tonight at my bi-annual qualification. Great gun, very accurate. I did notice the barrel hood, where it locks up with the slide, is worn shiny and a bit ragged. Is this just the parts "seating" themselves?

The Apex Tactical sear and safety plunger will take care of all the grittiness and give you a great trigger without going through a wear in period.

M&P Pistol Parts : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

I have the full size and have put 2500 to 3000 through it, the last 500 with the kit. I had polished things before the kit which produced a nice trigger but the kit changed it to a great trigger IMHO.

I just today placed an order for the 45C. I like them that much.

I hope your performs as well as mine.

Enjoy

PS: The barrel will end up with some shiny spots as it is used. That will not alter its accuracy in fact may enhance it. I can produce 3/8" 15 yard groups with mine and I can't shoot.

Just purchased a Mid Size 45acp and ready to get it. I have three other M&P pistols and love them.
Just completed a tactical pistol course (9mm, 1700 rounds, day and night fire over several days), not a single problem, not one. I had three others in the class ask if they could shoot my pistol. I installed the apex sear and made a huge difference.

S&W M&P Trigger Job

It can all be found there. And you do not have to go near as extreme as they do in the .pdf. Nor do you have to go as extreme as the Apex parts. Small changes to the sear can make huge changes. A clean up to the striker safety button can help with the grit. Mine was like butter through the first 500 rounds. Then the darn gritty **** showed up. I honestly think S&W goes out of it's way to put magic grit in there poly pistol trigger actions.

Once you study the sear, striker and trigger transfer link and understand how they all work. You will think "O-SNAP!!!!!"

A buddy of mine gave me some OEM M&P .45 sear parts to have around just in case I ever need to send the pistol in. But I never send them back to the mother ship. Lets face it. If I shoot out a barrel. There not expensive. Extractors wth I can purchase one of those to keep my pistol running.

What can I say. I'm the guy that would just soon sign papers and drop out of life time warranty's and get the product cheaper. Let the folks that want it pay for it. I except full responsibility for my purchase's after I walk out the door with them. I would much prefer a 1 to 3 year warranty. Than the Obama Care approach.
