Default Bullet Styles for M&P .45?

Picked up my new M&P fullsize .45 ACP on Friday. Started the breakin process using WWB. I figure after 300 rounds down the pipe, It will be time to start working up a range load.

Will these M&Ps feed anything other than a round nose bullet?

I would prefer a 200 grain bullet, and am using Berrys flat points in my Glock. Tried one of those loads in the M&P and it wouldn't feed, which leads me to believe that only RN will do.

BTW, it is functioning perfectly with the WWB 230s

thanks,

I don't have the 45, but my 9s' and 40s' will eat everything. Are you saying they simply won't feed or the first round is getting hung up on the feedramp? I've seen a few where the first round "nose dives" into the bottom of the feedramp when the slide stop is released. But they ususally feed when using the slingshot method and then fire on through the rest of the mag. Sometimes you need to play with the overall length of reloads to find the one that works with your gun also.

I have used 230 JHP, 185 LSWC, 200 LSWC, 200 LRFP, 230 LRN and 230 FMJ. All feed without problem. You have to set the LSWC's with about .030 of the major diameter outside of the case. I have actual fed empty cases from the mag to chamber successfully.

I use Berries flat points in my MP 45. It has never failed to feed them.
