I am looking to buy a new Concealed Carry gun. How many of you ladies and gents have a MP40C and how do you like it?Thanks

Have had one for about 6 months now.Put 300 rouns through it without even a hint of a problem.It carrys very well,light,comfortable and that is in a cheap IWB holster.I'm sure it will even be better when I finally get a quality holster for it.I don't think you would go wrong with this one.It even carries better than my Kimber single stack .45acp because of the weight.Good luck in your decision.

You must take whatever anyone says about their gun and how much that they "like" it, with a grain of salt. Like my comment about finding the right holster, selecting a CCW is such a personal thing, even more so than finding the right holster. My advice would be to not only read the comments here, but go to the range and rent/fire as many different guns/calibers that your wallet will allow you to afford. Or if you have a buddy who owns a gun(s), offer to buy the ammo and split the range fee, then go to the range.

Even though a gun and all its firing characteristics, is based upon strict engineering design and, ultimately, physics; you the shooter, are not. Therefore, selecting the "right" firearm becomes a very subjective process, i.e. how does the gun/you "feel" when you fire it, etc.

It will be well worth the "investment" of money to sample multiple guns, rather than end up with buyer's remorse/regret due to purchasing the "wrong" gun.

I love mine. It's been 100% reliable, is accurate, and is very easy to conceal. If you are already familiar with .40 you won't be disappointed. Mine rides in a Kholster very nicely.

I really like my 40C. Carry it everyday. I also would prefer a compact 45 but a double stack 40 is a no brainer over a single stack 45 in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I have a very nice 1911 that I carry on occasion as well as a few other guns. But my little 40C fills the role better.

Just bought my 7th M&P pistol. All have performed as expected.

I would agree with the other poster about shooting one first. I do the same before I buy any gun.

The only complaint about M&P pistols that I have is the trigger. But with Apex Tactical parts the M&P has the best trigger pull than any other polymer gun. Made a world of difference in mine.

Thanks I have a Sigma 40VE and love it that is why im looking at the MP40C just dont know anyone that has one to shoot.That is why I'm asking you guys Yall have alot of good info on here. Thanks for the input.

Like somebody allready told you carry piece is a personal decision,but I used to carry a 27 and the grip was very unconfortable also a bit ticker than the 40c I tried from a friend of mine a springfield emp very good gun slim about same weight of the mp but only 7 shoots, I rather carry 11 40's mine shoot reliable,accurate and also have a ctc install on it I love it.

I have found the M&P 40c to be a easy shooting compact. I have shot alot of compacts and the M&P is by far the easiest. I suggest that you might want to visit a range with rentals before the purchase, maybe for piece of mind. I have big hands and found it fits well. depending how your gun hold is, I have found little muzzle rise when shooting. I bet my life on mine. have fun buying your new gun! sounds fun

My M&P40c is the first compact .40 I can shoot that doesn't try to flip up out of my hand. I absolutely adore it. While I prefer shooting my full-size M&P40, I try to practice more with my compact since it's my main ccw. The only modification I've made is a small piece of stair tread tape on the front strap for a little extra traction and it's awesome.

I've been carrying my .40c daily for the last 6 months or so. I absolutely love it. It's exactly what (I) was looking for in a carry weapon. It's as accurate as I am and I've had zero problems since I bought it. The biggest question is you. You need to get your hands on one (rental or a friend) and do some shooting. Everyone is different, and a carry weapon is a personal choice.

Have both a 9 & 40 in the M&Pc the 40 shoots as easy as the 9.
I have a IWB UBG holster , had to wait 12 weeks but the wait was worth it, and the carry is easy no printing . If I am in a place where a
jacket or wearing a shirt out is not pratical I have a DeSantis pocket holster . Nice thing about the M&Pc is that the gun will slide into a pocket in a pinch (unlike the XD) wont be able to fast draw but no problem getting the gun out.

I went thru two subcompacts (Glock 26 and a 27) before buying the 40c. The 40c is my choice by long shot. I would say I shot the XDsc second best but I only borrowed a buddys to see how it shot.

I've been carrying one for about a year now. I have an inside the waist ban holster but have carryed it in a pocket holster. It does have a snappy recoil that it to much for some people. I can shoot it fine and I like the way it shoots but some people who I've let shoot mine think it to much power for such a small light gun. All in all I like it much more than the J-frame 38 it replaced

It's a one piece foldover kydex with a single clip that I bought at a gun show for $55. It worked for a while but as I described in my evaluation of the PSS pancake kydex that I replaced it with, I was getting into a habit of "adjusting" it. Awesome carry pistol.......I wouldn't own anything else.

I have one waiting at the LGS that I ordered with night sights and 3 magazines.

I have an Apex DCAEK kit and a Storm Lake 9mm barrel (drop in, just add magazines) coming from Midway.

I use a 40c as my primary anytime I'm carrying a semi-auto.

They just fit my hand perfectly, I shoot them well and dead reliable. One of my favorite guns.

I have several "fun guns", large bores and small and one serious work gun. The serious every day carry piece is my M&P .40c. It resides in its Kramer horsehide owb holster. Everyone has a favorite and mine is the M&P. It just plain fits and has never had any kind of a failure. The Kramer is a quality piece of long lasting workhorse and well worth the wait.
