Wink Installed second Apex Tactical sear and striker block

I just installed my second Apex tactical sear and striker block. I got a 45 M&P and thought I had made a mistake. Got the sear and block. Installed it. Took forever. But did it myself. I am not the gun smithing type but I'm cheap and it looked simple. It is simple but I'm a klutz. The trigger went from 7 lbs to 3.5 to 4 lbs. Reset was shorter. I fell in love with the M&P 45.

So had to get a 9mm M&P Pro. Wife still talks to me. Ordered the second Apex tactical set. Both parts went in as fast as the instruction videos are long. Trigger is better but the M&P Pro came with a 5.5 lb trigger and now it has a 4.5 lb trigger. Reset seems a little shorter but not very positive. Love the feel of the pistol. Plan to use it for USPSA Production class.

The point is: That M&P 45 was real expensive since it was expensive and lead to me "having" to buy another.

PS: I'll post some shooting results as soon as I get some. I plan to use the 9mm this Sunday in a club competition.

After shooting my M&P-9 for the first time after installing the Apex DCAEK I'm beginning to think about getting another M&P pistol. I'd thought about leaving the stock trigger spring in but I'm very comfortable with the duty/carry spring weight. At 5.5 lbs the trigger is fantastic for target shooting. The Apex kit is a wholesale improvement over the stock trigger. My groups at 15 yards tightened up considerably.

Glad to hear you're having a great experience with Apex as well! Best of luck in your upcoming competition!

I used the M&P 9mm in a USPSA practice session. WOW! Gonna like this pistol. Club competition is this Sunday. Looking forward to a fun day. I will have to order a Comp-Tac holster for it.

Default When I'm right, I'm right

I was right, I am going to like this M&P 9mm Pro. But you can not pick up a new gun and do as well as with one you have shot for several years. I shot the club competition and did not do as well as I wished. But had fun fun fun. It was me, the gun did it's part. I just have to practice, practice, practice.

Lucky for all of us practice means more shooting!
