Kentucky State Police 4566TSW ***Never Issued***
I have a 4566TSW never issued, never fired. I am the original owner of this weapon, well besides KSP. I bought this gun in 2004 when Frankfort sold lots of 200 of these at auction. I have a wedding soon approaching and I am in need of extra funds. I know the value of a regular 4566TSW. But I am needing to know what extra value the KSP Serial number and KSP seal add to the gun. And that it was never issued and has never been fired. Attached are pics of the weapon...
Thanks in advance,
Jake

I would say you are most likely looking at the same as any other NIB 4566TSW. Unless you get 2 retired KSP that each want it. It does appear to have the night sights, 3-mags and the non-drilled TSW frame which are all unique to the LE package.

I'd think you'll do better locally than you would on the open market. Retirees, history buffs, etc will pay more than someone in say, Idaho would for the same gun.

I bought one of these at the last Louisville KY gun show in the same unfired condition as yours for $725.

In all honesty those markings remove value from the gun on the open market.
S&W will not warranty the gun because it was sold to the KSP originally and they only warranty the original owner, so you basically have a warranty-less used gun that is unfired.

Who cares if S&W warranties the gun or not. It's not like a gun like this is actually gonna be taken out for target practice and get used!

For me, the value is whatever a new, old stock 4566 goes for, minus the cost of shipping and refinish by S&W to remove the agency markings. Sorry, but the Kentucky markings actually detract from the value. Best find someone interested in collecting Kentucky LE guns. Sorry.

Yeah, so hopefully he didn't sell the gun to buy a gift cause the couple are probably divorced by now.

Zombie thread of a zombie thread. I remember 2010. Obama was just gearing up screwing America. I bought a lot of guns and ammo.
