man, I can't imagine carrying my M&P 45c in my front pocket.
I can't stand carrying the little Jennings=J-22 in my from pocket.
It is on a need to carry basis, when I cant take my M&P in my IWB.
You should consider the Crossbreed Supertuck... VERY COMFORTABLE!
you may be suprised.... but if this works for you... keep doing it!

I agree with silvercn. Not sure how you would even sit down / cross your legs, with this pistol in your front pocket, not to mention that it's a bit more difficult to "conceal", as it rides a bit lower in your pocket. Also, there's something disconcerting about having the pistol pointing down the front of the body vs pointing down (and away) from the body when it's holstered IWB/OWB at 3:00 to 4:30 positions.

If you intend to wear a covering shirt anyway, why not just use a OWB holster behind the hip?

I've been carrying a 40c in my right front pocket for 2 years now. Sometimes with holster, sometimes with out. It depends on the pants. It works good and I can cross a parking lot with my hand in my pockets. They say the fastest draw is to start with your hand on the gun. Pocket carry does that. You do need to select your pants correctly. Large pocket is a must. I use cargo pants with extra pockets that mask it somewhat. The only problem I have with this setup is while driving. Its a little difficult getting it out while sitting in a car. If its possibly unsafe where I am going, I will take it out before I sit down. It works for me and I can,t find a way to improve on it. I do belt carry in the winter.

I cant stand IWB either, I carry my 642 in the pocket all the time and cant even tell it most the time.

A (un)comfortable holster/rig is one thing, but I want to be able to "feel" my gun whenever I've got it on me, which is anytime I go out.

When I'm CCW:
1. I prefer the constant "reminder" that I'm armed.
2. I know exactly where my pistol is.
3. My awareness and alertness of my surrondings goes up, however, I'm relaxed in the knowledge that I'm able to protect my family and myself.
4. I'm LESS likely to get into an argument.

I pocket carry my M&P9c all the time in these pants:
Cabela's 7-Pocket Hiker Pants
They're easy to draw from and no one knows I'm carrying.

Just one bit of warning....

In OH, in a vehicle, a gun must be both "on your person" and "in a holster", or stored in several "off body" ways that limit access.

(In short, you have to toss it into the glovebox. Unless you're wearing a holster of some kind.)

Just loose in your pocket is a no-no, as is under the seat or stuck between the seat cushions.

If you have a pocket in a garment that is labeled or marketed as a holster, or one of several "tactical" vests/shirts/pants with "areas" that accept a holster-like container, you should be OK, but to be safe, it should be marketed as a "holster"....

OUTSIDE of a vehicle, it's up to you....
