Default Removed manual safety from M&P..I have the plugs..

I finally removed the manual safety from my M&P. My order for the left and right plug came in today from Speed Shooters.

It looks like a straight forward process to put the plugs in the hole.

However, I am having trouble with the right way to put plugs in.

I looked on google and the M&P site for help.

Maybe someone here could provide a youtube link or some place I could go online to find the proper way to install these plugs.

Thanks ahead of time.

Nothing yet? I figured someone would have gone through this.

I already removed manual safety as stated. Do I have to remove the pin again and take out the section where manual safety was to put the plugs in?

I just don't see how the plugs can stay in...

Yes, you do have to remove the pin and take out the module. I don't know how to describe it but you have to fiddle and fit each side until it fits. It will be obvious when they are correct and the module will hold them in place.

I wish I could be more descriptive but as a bit of encouragement, if I can do it, ANYBODY can do it.

Just curious, why would you want to remove the gun's safety?

Perfect....Thank you. I figured this may be the case. I should of just tried it to begin with but thought there was a way with out having to take pin out again.

Much appreciated.

I removed it for two reasons, one not too important and one VERY important.

Not too important > It makes the pistol wider and adds nothing to the safe operation of the pistol, it is redundent.

VERY important > The spring and detent were not strong enough to prevent accidental actuation of the safety unknowingly.

I removed the safety the day after it was put on safe accidently during a serious social event.

If it were as positive as all of my 1911 types, I would not have removed it.

These are exactly the same reasons I removed mine. The manual safety was just to easily moved on and off.
