Default Full size mags in compact frame

I feel certain this question must have been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer by reviewing the threads in the M&P section. A search didn't turn up anything, but that may be because of my lack of skill in constructing the search parameters, rather than any lack of information on this site.

Anyway, because of trading, I sometimes find myself with magazines with no corresponding pistols. Right now, I have a number of M&P 45 full size magazines, and no full size M&P 45. I know that the M&P 45 mid size uses the same 10 round magazines as the full size, while the M&P 45 compact uses 8 round magazines. Can the full size 10 round magazines be used in the M&P45c, similar to how a Glock 26 can use Glock 19 or 17 mags?

I am going to buy a M&P45c, but I was thinking I could keep these 10 round mags for the range, if they would work. I know they would "stick out" but that would ok for range use.

Thanks.

They work with a 9mm. So i'm sure they would work. Also search for "xgrip" it fits on the magazine to make a full size grip ( on the 9mm anyway)

Just get an xgrip to take up the space and you will be fine. I use full size mags as backups for my 40c.
