I have several S&W revolvers and the hot topic is the internal lock. I am thinking about getting an M&P compact...does this type of gun have an internal lock? I'm not asking about the safety...I'm asking if there is a key to unlock something on the gun...

The M&P's can be ordered with internal locks or with out. My fulsize 40 has no lock

You can get them with or with out the internal lock, and with or with out the mag safety.
