Default M&P 40c back from Smith

Sent 40c in on1-17 to correct the slide locking back issue in my better half's 40c. Over 11 times in a hundred rounds a bit much so off it went.
They received the gun 1-20 and we received it Monday1-31.
I am impressed and the doubts of buying a S&W product are some what restored. (this is our first)
They replaced the slide catch spring and cleaned the gun.
We will test it today to see if they fixed the problem.
I think it is going to be okay, since they probably got the pistol to duplicate the problem.
Wish us luck because the wife really like this Gun and it is her first S&W and her first Gun selection on her own.

Quite frankly, I'm more impressed with your wife's M&P 40c, first pistol selection, than I am with S&W's, albeit, excellent service. Although, the 40c is not a "difficult" pistol to shoot, it certainly is not for the faint of heart.

More power to your better half.

Just curious, was her pistol NIB or used? If used, there have been previous threads about how to determine the date of manufacture if you're interested.

It was NIB and we had to change our plans and will be going to the range tomorrow.

Even with the malfunctions she had 2 inch or less MOE at 11 yards with 60% of the 100 rounds She shot.

Once she got the feel it It was Just plain fun watching a 4'11 women show every one how its done.

It is a match made in Heaven.

Jerr, your double entendre is deafening, even if you didn't mean it.

Gun works great , hand a pair of light strike on some factory second ammo.
And some feed issues which I attribute to the wife relaxing to much with this snappy gun.
Once she tightened up no more problems
Slide does not Lock Back for any reason as I have shot it and it runs just fine. It did lock back when I shot it so there was a problem.
Will polish the ramp like a mirror as I do with all my guns now that i know that it works fine.
Next stop a new purse for the wife and you know who! ( i'll give you a hint it's name ends with a small c).
Be safe to all! (a 6'4" 240bl man shopping for a purse strange days indeed)
