The M&P45C has really become a top favorite carry gun for me.
Awesome fit and feel in the hand and a great shooter. All mine needed was an Apex sear. Those who feel that a complete Apex trigger "kit" ($200???) is necessary to obtain a good trigger with these are wrong. Spend $40 on the sear, do a little fluff and buff, and the M&P45 trigger becomes wonderful.

M&P45C
With 8+1=9 magazine and flush base plate. Allows a full 3 fingers on the grip, which is nice.
With 10+1=11 round magazine

I love it! Very easy to install and zero in. Red dot very easy to find and get on target, especially shooting with both eyes open. Ready to head back to the range with it this weekend.

Just picked up my shield yesterday. 9mm with factory night sights, replacing my PM9 that my better half has claimed. Here she sits on my fly-tying desk. Don't mind the mess! Loving this gun!

Nothing against the Venom, but Vortex tech guy said the Viper is much better
for co-witness on the C.O.R.E. . And it's clearly a lower profile.

Thanks for that. I imagine it'll be the same story for the standard M&P full size?
In fact, probably a lower profile on any pistol?

Hey fellow Mainiac and fly fisherman I like your choices .Beabeau fly shop taught my brother in law how to tie and France's B.and Duane taught for years till she closed the shop.Maybe we'll see ya on the fine waters of Maine I cleaned and oiled these up for side arms during hunting season

Installed a Vortex Viper on the M&P9 Performance Center, I've not tried it out yet, hopefully tomorrow. I think it sits pretty well as co-witness.

Just picked this up today! Was looking for a bore sight and found this deal. $350 and it came from the Atlanta PD.

Cleaned up my 2 S&W's today, figured they were good for a picture. Shield 45 is my EDC, 500 Magnum is my new favorite toy.
They fit in nicely with the rest of my collection.

Loving the firearm and definitely a bit envious of the fly-tying!
Beautiful, enjoy both, shooting and tying flies ...

So, I'm just curious how you managed to have that added and look absolutely stellar? Would love to hear your reply, I do realize this thread is a bit dated ... still ...

I don't know who was used on that gun but here is a link to one place that will do custom like that. They do the back slide plates and magazine base plates, and will do your custom logo if they don't already have it. I thought they are reasonably priced.

I installed the Apex Flat faced forward set trigger and wow what a difference it made. I decided to retain the original trigger return spring and USB set. The change dropped the trigger pull to an average of 3.6# from about 4.5# and shortened the pre travel and over travel significantly.
This may sound crazy but I think I like the action now more than my "plane Jane" s&w1911.
My only regret is not doing it earlier, now I feel like I have to install it on my M&Ps.
