M&P 2.0 compact frame with a 2.0 4.25" slide. Not a huge difference, but like every other guy, every quarter inch counts.

THESE ARE MY FAVORITES. The top one is my M&P CORE and the bottom 3 are 2.0’s. All are great guns. They’ve never failed and all worked during defensive pistol courses.

Dot torture with my 4" 2.0 compact 9 @ 4 yards. I'm pretty consistent @ 3 yards, so I moved it back. Not pretty, but you gotta keep pushing yourself

I bought and fell in love with another M&P today.
I purchased an M&P40c in 2005 or 2006 when they first came out. I had that pistol for 7-8 years and it never jammed once. Not once. I had just gotten my concealed carry permit in the fall of 2005 with my first gun, a Taurus 24/7 (which jam on me the whole time during training/qualifying).
The M&P was a great gun until I sold it in 2013 because my eye started to wonder and I wanted to convert to 9mm, so I bought a Glock 19. 22 pistols later, after buying and selling a ton of firearms looking to discover what best suits my needs, I purchased a M2.0 version of my trusty old M&P40c in 9mm, and I feel like I've come home. The trigger is very good (not outstanding, but good enough). The grip texture is amazing. Only my sandpaper TalonGrips give me a better purchase, but these won't shift over time (and they are way more grippy than the rubberized Talons).
I don't even think I am going to change the sights (they're thinner/more accurate than most night sights).

I picked up the S&W M&P Shield 2.0 9mm a few weeks ago & that skinny little pistol is growing on me & the Glock 26 hasn't been carried since.
Really love the grip texture of the 2.0 Shields..
Only upgrade I could think that S&W could do to these pistols is to offer three magazines with the purchase.. Or offer a holster with the package as well as a plastic carrying case.. Think SIG..
I have been wanting a SIG P365 or Glock 43 but think that I've got that all sewed up now with the M&P Shield 2.0

This virus has forced a break in my competition schedule so I’ve been playing with my M&P open project gun in 9major. Got it almost dialed in and really enjoying it!

My first S&W
My first S&W and the only pistol I've owned since the .22 I used to shoot cans with when I was a kid. Wanted a handgun for awhile and recent events convinced my wife it was time. A friend took us to the range to fire his Shield and that sold us. We went with the M&P 2.0 9mm full size. Now if they'd only end the stay at home order so we can go to the range and actually shoot it.

I'm returning it. I think it is a fine holster for certain guns, but I think the company uses the same holster for multiple guns, and in this case, the leather sweat guard gets in the way when I draw it. In other words, it's placed too far beyond the grip where the web of my hand needs to go to get a firm purchase before I draw. As a result, I can't get as high on the gun as I can my Mitch Rosen UPL. I also like high riding holsters, so this one is going back. I do think it's a good holster, but not necessarily the perfect fit for someone like me who rides so high on a pistol I can't shoot Glocks without a beavertail.
This is the grip I get without a sweat guard (e.g. my Mitch Rosen).
This is what I get from the Urban Carry...
And this is why...
If you notice the rear iron sight is not backed by the sweat guard either. Unfortunately, this is what occasionally happens when holsters are not designed for a specific brand/model gun. I tried and tried to make it work, but it's just not for me. It is, however, very well made, so if someone likes this kind of holster, perhaps give it a shot. The retention is excellent if someone wants that feature.
