This one, on the other hand, has its sweat guard in a better position for a full firing grip.

I kinda like my M&Ps...
The Holosun 507C has recently migrated to the 2.0 since the 508T I ordered in March still hasn't arrived... and the .22 Compact now has Dawson sights because I got tired of looking for the rear sight blade every time I shot it...

Question, why even worry about a sweat guard for a polymer frame pistol?

Sweat guards are mostly for the rear of the slide, not the frame. The slide is steel.
The steel against flesh can be uncomfortable
The slide finish can wear—rust
The sweat guard helps guide the pistol into the holster
SG helps keeps clothing away from the mouth of the holster
It keeps the rear of the slide from abrading underclothing
Rear sights can have sharp edges and corners. A SG prevents snagging
There are other personal reasons I may have missed.

I forgot to include the Shield last time, and I finally received my Holosun 508V2 for the 2.0, so I took a new M&P family photo...

My new addition to the M&P family..
Picked up a new M&P 38 Revolver and added a Hogue G10 grip. The grip is extremely comfortable. This is the 4th firearm to my M&P family.
Now I need to find someone to buy my Glock 19 G4 so I can hopefully buy a M&P 9mm full sized pistol.

I'd happily take your G19 off your hands, I have been in the market lately...I love my M&Ps and my Glocks just as much, guess you could say I swing both ways...um that didn't come out right

3.6" Mullet M&P9 M2.0 Subcompact
Here's my M&P9 M2.0 Subcompact 3.6" in its mullet configuration (17+1). I personally prefer the 17+1 over my 15+1, but it depends on what I'm wearing. I'm sporting an orange square Ameriglo front sight that I paired with an Ameriglo blacked out serrated/ledged rear sight with a square notch which makes for a very simple/clean HD picture. Although I'd like to get an Apex trigger in her to refine the reach and reset, it isn't necessary as I can pull this trigger as accurately as guns I have that are more than twice as much.
Depending on what I am doing, I normally carry it OWB at the 9 or 3 o'clock position in its flush 12+1 configuration (which is shorter than a Glock 26 loaded with a +2 baseplate or even the shorter Magpul 12+1 magazines). It's really an impressive option after having been a huge fan of the G26 for many years and through three generations of Glocks. I like shooting with two fingers just fine, but I admit, I enjoy shooting my M&P subcompact and compacts better with a full-size mag at the range (which I suppose makes sense). I do find that the larger grip sleeve on my sample fits better than the compact (15+1) sleeve. I have those mags as well, but I prefer this configuration when I'm shooting it a lot. I almost forget it's using a sleeve, but I never forget that shooting the compact magazines.
Sorry about the graininess. I thought it was better than this.
This Mitch Rosen UPL-EXP is a "high riding" holster for a Glock G26, but it works well with the M&P at 9 o'clock. Interestingly enough, I like this holster better than some of the ones made specifically for this pistol like the DeSantis below because I can get a better grip.
This is a DeSantis something or another. It's a do-all M&P holster, so it's better for 15+1 and 17+1 magazines in my opinion because of the more aggressive cant. I wear it at 3 o'clock depending on what I'm doing (I'm an ambi shooter).

Very nice! I've always wanted one of these (revolvers). I miss my Bodyguard 380 as well. I see you don't carry it with the finger extension. I didn't either (nor do I on my Ruger LCP II). It just conceals better and shoots well enough. I also bought a second Shield along with a M&P Subcompact earlier this year. I still just prefer them over the P365 that's so popular. Both shoot softer and the Shield is thinner. The SIG is a great gun, and I also carry a P229, but I still prefer these Smith & Wessons.

HELP,HELP,HELP
I have a Bodyguard 380 with the built in laser. I need new buttons for the laser switches. S&W told me they no longer offer these parts. Can anyone tell me were to get them without changing to a Crimson Trace laser.

Wow lots of great looking M&Ps here. I just bought my first M&P last week. It's a 2.0, 40 S&W, Compact. I shot it last weekend and it was very smooth. I am used to Glocks and carried them on the job for a lot of years but I like how the M&P 2.0 fills my hand better. I am glad that I made the switch.

Together with my 9c. I don't know for some reason 9c fits my hand better. Wife said can't have 2 of the same thing. I haven't shot the 2.0 yet but I shoot really good with the 9c with apex trigger shoe, plus I enhanced the stipling on it so it grips about the same as the 2.0 maybe better with a more rounder handle.

Welcome to the forum from North Carolina. You'll find a bunch of knowledgeable folks here. I have a full size M&P 40 1.0 just like yours. You might want to introduce yourself in the introduction section to let folks know you are here.

Welcome DFTR! The MP40 was my 1st gun too, love that gun, carried it everywhere ... great shooter. Now I have at least 10 M&P's.. had a bunch more but had to trim the herd a little.. I think somewhere way back in this thread I posted a few pictures of a bunch of them.. including the M&P AR's..

I'm firmly pro & con re: manual safeties on EDC pistols...
...and 2 Shields are better than 1.

Not going to lie, I was pro gen 3 and anti M&P until I got this. No, don't DM me asking for all my Gen 3s and some 2 to end up in the FS section
