40c
Here is my 40c "convertible". It can be run as standard 40c and has Trijicon NS.
Here it is with an XS Grip and Viridian Green Laser and 90 Lumen LED light C5L.
I also have a drop in Storm Lake 9mm barrel and appropriate magazines.

My new M&P9c
I have an Apex DCAEK & RAM and a set of Ameriglo / Bowie Tactical classic night sights on the way (same configuration installed in my full size M&P9).
Once I have put a few hundred rounds (free of any malfunction) through this pistol is to become my daily concealed carry.

@ Deaj
I put the Apex DCAEK & RAM in my M&P Pro
My word did it change the trigger for the good...
It made mine a sweet shooter.

Here's my VTAC 9. I swapped out the back strap for a Houge that is rock solid (it locks into the frame in two spots. Zero creep)
Also changed out the mag release to black. waiting on the black mags and take down tool to show up.
I was able to put the 1st 35rnds in the head at 50' with handloads right out of the box! Love this pistol..love the sights!

Is that Hogue grip made specifically to fit in the grip insert recess of the M&P??? Or is that just a standard Hogue grip sleeve that coincidentally fits in the backstrap recess?

The grip is a hybrid that Houge makes part#17400. The grips sleeves they make do not work on these guns. The #17400 fits into all of the same areas that the removable panels fit into. Once it is on it will NOT shift.
There are special instructions for removing it using the end of a specific size allen wrench. It feels much the same size as the large insert but, when you go for your sight picture the pistol just seems to hold steadier. The #17400 fits the 9-357sig-and the 40 fullsize only. They only came out a few months ago and I ended up getting mine on ebay for $12.00 shipped. Hope this helps.

My M&P 9 f/s riding in a 101Holsters kydex concealment rig. It hides the gun and the TLR-1 nicely.
And there she is naked. Finish is fairly worn for only being a few months old, but who cares! Thumb safety went first, then the beavertail, followed by a full stipple. Next order of business is night sights and more mags.

Jar-3,
Who did your beaver tail reduction job?
My EDC is a 9C and most of those holsters also fit my full size M&P9 and 40. These all fit works except for my Miami Classic II rig. The leather holster on that is made for the M&P9c and the beaver tails of the 9fs and 40fs do not allow for the holster strap to snap shut.
I do not want to alter the Galco hoster, so I was thinking about altering the beaver tails. How difficult or costly is this?

I did. It wasn't difficult at all. I also did my fiance's Christmas gift of an M&P .45. So I have learned myself 2 ways to do it:
The M&P 9 you're looking at was done with a dremel sanding wheel to get the bulk off then fine tuned with files and fine grit sandpaper.
For her .45, I used a cut off wheel, then shaped it with files and fine grit sandpaper.
Either method will work well as long as you measure twice and cut once. Steady hand and DON'T RUSH! I'd post pics of hers, but its wrapped and waiting to go under the tree. If you have any questions or need guidance, PM me.

Here's my M&P40 with a DCAEK. I thought I loved this gun before, but after the Apex kit it is so smooth I never want to put it down, I could dry fire it all day.
Had to do a little sanding on the trigger guard and near the sear housing pin, after a day of shooting I was getting blisters and my skin was coming off. Next thing is a bead blast, slide melt, and polish job on the slide, barrel, and levers. I'm sure there will be many more upgrades to follow, there always is!!

@ kcatbear
Are you gonna bead blast the slide to make it two tone?
And "slide meld" meaning round off your square slide?
I didn't know that could be done to a M&P slide.
Can it?
Sounds great to me.
By the way - I did the Apex kit and man are you right - I love the results.

Yeah I'm gonna bead blast it, I like the two tone look. Yeah you can, basically you just knock down all the sharp edges. Check out the melt jobs at Burwellguns.com he does some really good work.

Jay5oh, if you don't mind me asking, how do you like the M&P-22?
I am really considering one for a fun range/plinking gun.

OK I guess since I am now drinking the M&P Koolaid I might as well post a picture. But I'm still a wheel gun guy at heart.
