Dude, if the Glock police see this statement they'll turn off the taps to the Glock Kool Aid. No more Glock Kool Aid for you!

Glock should really make a single stack 9mm and 40. The purchases from Glock fans alone would be enough to justify the addition to their line-up.

Thanks , I am a 1911 lover at heart but this pistol is amazing for 3gun and USPSA. The slide and all my gun smithing is done by a friend of mine locally. He has also built an M&P open gun....

Wow one can only hope the M&P Shield will makes it's way through the endless hoops of Ma. gun regulations and actually be available here.
Kind of an oxymoron, that they are manufactured (in part or whole) here but can't be purchased here.
But until then gonna add an M&P Pro to the family.

My M&P Shield 40
Here's my ten day old M&P Shield 40 that I was on a waiting list for the past five weeks!
I got a call yesterday from the gun store that it was there but I did not have the funds for it yesterday but this afternoon well as you can see it is now in my complete possession!

the M&P disease is strong at my house!
The newest entry is another FS M&P9. The new one has the optional Novak Trijicon sights and no mag safety. I got it because my wife decided to do some practical shooting with me at the local club, and we didn't want to have to keep sharing.
The action on the newer one is much improved, and the reset is both audible and tactile, which the one on my 2008 model is neither.

My shameless plug for Apex:
I'm shocked at what an upgrade the DCAEK was for my 45c. They should come like this from the factory. The Pro Series M&P I have handled wasn't this nice. They are well worth the money for anyone thinking about one.

I agree with everything you said - and I put a Apex kit in mine too.
But man is it a great gun now !!!
My son competed useing it last weekend and got a 6 or 7 position bump in his score.
