Default Smith and Wesson Warranty Service Question

I have a M&P 45 Threaded Barrel Kit back at Smith and Wesson for a minor issue and have what may be a dumb question. Will they call and let me know when they send it back or just ship it out.

I work pretty much everyday but if I was forewarned I could arrange a day off.

I figured maybe someone here would know, so I don't call and bug them.

You have to call them and get a tracking number, or it will just show up unannounced. They told me this when I sent mine in for repair.

Hrm I will give them a few days and call and see what they say. I guess I can always just pick it up at the Depot if push comes to shove.

I should have asked if I could have sent it to my work address I didn't think to ask while I was on the phone. It is in another state though so I don't know if that would have worked.

They're just gonna ship it. You might get a tracking number if it just left the shop, but they ain't gonna notify you otherwise.

Mine went back week before and came back this past Monday. They emailed me the tracking information so I knew when it was going to be delivered.
