Default New pair of M&P Pro Series

Well I am all in with the M&P platform. I have been shooting Sigs for a year but with a 10lb DA trigger pull they are not practical for IDPA.

So I bought a 4.25" & 5" Pro Series 9mm. The shorter one for CCW and 5" for IDPA. The trigger and ergos are nice. The night sights on the 4.25" model are garbage and will be replaced shortly.

I have about 600 rounds through them and I am happy with my purchases. I only wish I did not buy the ****** night sights.

Glad you are enjoying your new purchases.

However, I'm wondering why you are considering the factory S&W night sights ******. What is so bad about them, may I ask? What are they not doing that you expected them to do for you?

They worked fine for shooting until the paint around the front night sight vial came off. It only took about 3 weeks. I can't repaint the night sights without covering the tritium vial. I am under the impression that most tritium sights have a protective coating to prevent that.

That's my only complaint. It was not a whole lot more for night sights so I just picked up some that I liked to replace them instead of calling S&W and getting the same sights and going through it again.

I had a set of Novaks with the same issue, then I discovered that what I thought was missing paint was actually dark crud maybe carbon on the ring. Little bit of carbon remover and I am back in business!

I thought it was that at first but it was there after cleaning. To be fair I was breaking in a new leather holster that probably rubbed on the front sight though I did the same with my Sig Sauer and it was unaffected.

I'm over it. I bought the new Trijicon HD sights.

I see...well, I guess we'll see what happens with my new 40c w/factory night sights. if it happens with it, I may have to do the same thing, but I'll still say something to S&W because that is kind of ridiculous that it should happen like that.
