Default Soliciting recommendations for holster and sights

My 9c is going to be my new CCW piece. First off I need an IWB holster. I live in Miss. so I am very partial to Kydex over leather due to the heat and humidity. Also, I favor easy on/off of the holster and am reluctant to try a Crossbread type holster due to the size of the same. Thus, I am inclined toward a more traditional shape in kydex. But I want it pulled in close, as thin as possible for maximum concealment. Also a tuckable option would be a good plus.

I have considered the Alabama Holster Co. Offside model. The Offside * Alabama Holster Company - Concealment Products That "Just Plain Work" The maker can leave the bottom open so I can use the same holster with a standard or Pro model.

Are there others I should consider?

And what do you recommend for night sights? I was thinking Heine straight 8s. Heinie Specialty Products, Inc.

What are your recommendations for drifting the old sights out and the new ones in? Should I buy the drifting tool or hire a smith? Anyone encounter any problems getting back to zero with the new sights?

Thanks.

Check out Raven Concealment Systems re: Kydex holsters.

Re: sights, I recommend Trijicon night sights. Excellent and robust for CCW needs. Here they are on my Glock 27, my usual concealed carry:

TRUGLO's are also nice, but not as robust as Trijicons. Here they are on my M&P 40:

As another poster has suggested to someone else, the "search" (function) is your friend, use it.

My custom pancake holster from Personal Security Systems Kydex Holsters is an excellent rig that can be worn IWB or OWB. Here's my evaluation of the holster, which has not changed since I've been wearing it. Product Evaluation of Personal Security Systems - Pancake Kydex Holster

com-tac.com

I carry several pistols in "The Infidel" with belt clip. Easy on/off, secure, close to the body and comfortable. Just right with no extra material or wings. Great company to deal with and they have quick build times and shipping. Concerning night sights, Meprolights are proven to me through many years of actual duty carry and they are not effected by oils and solvents. Bill

I recommend the Heinie Straight 8s. I have a set on two pistols and a set of regular slant-pros on another. All are Glocks. I installed them myself with a Glock sight tool, a punch, and a vice. I wouldn't say my techniques are in any gunsmith or armorer's manual but it worked and the sights have never fell off. I have an M&P 45 that will get a set of Heinies one of these days. Take a look at 10-8 performance also as they offer a similar design. The M&Ps ought to be relatively simple install with a sight pusher. The Heinies use Trijicon lights.

I've used sights by Trijicon and XS in addition to Heinies, and have found that the Hienies offer one of the best sight pictures, mainly because of the serrated front sight that is just narrow enough not to block out the target at 25 yars, but also because of the serrated front sight that seems to stand out even with lint and dust accumulating on it.

I want a set of Heinie's but damn they're pricey!

I'm thinking about just swapping out the front sight with a Hiviz FO and maybe blacking out the rear dots.
