I have the MP40c. Love it. Got the gun about 2 years ago and NOT one problem! My daily off duty carry weapon. I put crimsom trace grips on also. If you are LEO make sure you get the discount the S&W offers.

Definitely enjoy your new purchase. I just got the 40c as well and love it. Very nice, accurate firearm. Plus, definitely check into the LEO discount if you are a current LEO. That should drop the price to just under $400 w/o night sights or around $455 w/night sights.

You will love it !
The wife will be going out with me tomorrow for our monthly refresh.
It is a 40c like yours.
She loves it and handles it like the pro she is.
Our first time out she had some light strikes ,so I removed the firing pin and found some production grit that was the problem. The firing pin can be removed in 10 sec. We love this gun.
Good luck with your new gun

I picked up a 40C last week and took it to the range. The sights were dead on at 15 yards, and the gun was easy to control - easier than my last duty gun - a Glock 23. I'm impressed. One minor complaint - the front white dot blew off, but the slide is out to Bowie for night sights.
I like the fact that I can load a full 10 rounds in the mag with ease.
The 40C feels a bit better in the hand than my Glock 26. Good luck.

I bought mine slightly used a couple years ago with 6 magazines and trijicon night sights. It was like at first sight. It became love after a few sessions at the range to pick which of the included grips were best for me.

Hmmmmm
Recently got a Glock 27 w/ nickel boron treatment, trijicon ns, and although it's sweet, I think I might be a bit better off w/ the S&W 40c M&P espec. w/ the ct option. The MP's trigger, at least for me, pulls nicer, the grip's pretty good too. S&W seems to really have analyzed Glock, done a fine job, even making some improvements on the old police mainstay, all the while keeping the price competitive. At this point, with it being (hopefully) past any "growing pains" it seems like a pistol worthy of serious consideration, even compared to many foreign brands that to some, might seem to have more snob appeal.

I am purchasing a 40c this week and I can not wait to get it in my hands! It will be my first semi auto and I did alot of research to find what should be a very dependable gun as well as a very accurate and comfortable fun to shoot!
