Default M&P 9 w/threaded barrel info?

I'm going to be purchasing the M&P 9 full size with the threaded barrel. I was wondering if anyone had any information on threaded compensators that have been tried, and proven. I know what they do, and don't do. I understand that some disslike them.

I cannot find, but 2 online. Am I searching the wrong stuff?

Give me your take, and experiences.

Thank you

I think most of us who bought one are planning on a suppressor, not a comp

Chad, there's some debate on whether 'ported' necessarily means the same as 'compensated'--the questionality (is that really a word?) is where the gases exit the barrel and slide, I suppose. If you think I know what I'm taliking about here--I've probably fooled you! East is east and west is west (unless you're heading north or south), but here's a couple links that might enlighten you:

Lone Wolf Distributors - Products - Ported 2/4/6

Ported versus Compensated? [Archive] - Glock.pro

I'd write to lonewolf if you don't get a definitive answer--they have more barrels than a Bohemian beer fest, and a quick look around the whole site shows they 'maybe' have what you're looking for.

If that doesn't play out well, you might read the second link and write on the Glock forum. I don't know too much, but a compensated barrel on a threaded barrel seems kind of like fish gills on a bulldog to me--but hey--I bet you'll have the only one on town!-Dare to be different!-- Good luck all the same....
