Default M&P 40 w/mag safety

I'm confused. I'm wanting to buy a S&W, M&P 40 Cal pistol for my service weapon. When going to S&W web site and looking up such a gun you can't find one that says "w/mag safety". I sent a message to S&W and the guys tells me the model 209300 is the 40 cal version of the M&P that has the mag safety, however, if you go to S&W web site that model says right on the page, "no mag safety". I'm getting ready to go put the money up for my dealer to order this gun but don't want to buy the wrong model. Does anyone own a model 209300 and if so does it have the mag safety?
Best regards,

The info I have says the 209000 has the mag safety and the 209300 does not.

I see the one I bought at OMB is listed as model 309200 (is that a typo?) but it is a .40 with mag safety for $398

Lost Lake: It's not a typo and the sku # is correct. That is the number used for LEO dealers.

Thanks to everyone that responded.

If you don't already know this...if you get one without the mag safety you will always have to look at the warning stamped into the slide stating the the gun will fire without the mag. (who would have ever thought that if you pull the trigger the gun might fire) If you get the one with the safety you can disable it yourself and have a clean slide.

I bought one without the mag safety and have been perfectly happy with it. Now after reading this thread all I can see when I look at my gun is:

"Caution- capable of firing with magazine removed"

in white letters on the side of my slide. Why don't you guys tell me these things before I buy my guns?

I have the one with the mag safety and the internal lock. I had to take the internal lock to get the 15 round magazine. (I just ignore the lock.) I'm ok with the mag safety as it is just my home defense gun. I think the number is 209000 but the memory is not that sharp. Check the 2011 S&W catalog (free download) for a page with a table of all models and all features. There's one with 10 rnd mag and mag safety but no internal lock or thumb safety.

Default Mag safety 40 cal

I finally gave up and ordered a M&P 40 with thumb safety. I have a 3913 stainless with the thumb safety and I'm used to the thumb safety.

I guess the most frustrating part of my whole ordeal with buying this S&W was that S&W employees didn't even know what SKU to have me order.

On the other hand S&W owners on this forum seem to know a bunch more than the factory. Thanks to everyone that answered my question.

Happy shooting and thanks again,
Spanky
