Exclamation VTAC PVD Source?

Anyone heard who/what outside firm S&W is using to provide thw PVD coatings on the new M&P VTACs?

Or is it being done "in house"?

Doc, they have contracted with Viking Tactical in NC for the finish & sights. I saw the M&P40 VTAC last week in one of local gunshops and wrote asking if I could buy the sights for my M&P9 Longlside. The reply was they are not selling separate components due to supplying VTAC to S&W. It is more gold finish in person vs the front page of 2011 S&W catalog. Their night sights are first class. Maybe they will open up as sales take off. BTW, the M&P40 VTAC was priced at $711. + tax
in the Charlotte area.
