Default Ambi Safety

Does anyone know where I can get an ambi safty and any associated hardware for an M&P9? The missus has one that of course came without one and now she wants one installed If anyone could provide a link I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Sorry, but if the gun originally came without the thumb safety, it is not possible (or should I say easy) to install it. You are better off selling the gun and buying another with the safety. That is what I did when the thumb safety first came out. It was like a $200 hit which is probably less then it would cost to have done if you could even get-r-done (which you cannot).

Yup....just got an email from S&W saying the same thing... Oh well....I'm not selling it .....the old woman will just have to look for something else for her. It's a win win for me though

IMO the ambi-safety on the M&P sucks. A flea fart can knock it on or off. It doesn't stay in place like a 1911 safety. Someday I will remove it from my M&P-45.

It comes out in maybe 12 seconds once you remove the slide and punch a couple of pins. Someone will link the video I'm sure.
