I still have these new Meprolights I ordered online in the hard plastic package but I can see they are are "shorter" than the original M&P rear sight.
Did they send me the wrong sights? It says, "for S&W M&P Pistols".
Why would the replacement night sight not hold the same position on the pistol as the original sights?
I'd would have expected the rear sight to be flush along the end of the slide to provide maximum sight radius just like the stock sights.
Can anyone help me understand what happened here?

They are the right sights that's just the way Meprolight designs them. It is a slightly shorter radius (very slight). But they are good sights and have a lot of other advantages that out-weight the lack of a flush fit.

I don't think an 1/8" smaller sight radius will make a difference.

Lol. Glad you like them. I wish they'd come out with yellow rears
. Do you notice a big difference in the "dimness" of the rear? Mepro says they are suppose to be dimmer to contrast the front sight.

Yeah, I never look at OP dates - just whether or not it is on the "home page." LOL

The front sight is easier to pick up during the day. (It's got more white around it)
In the darkness, it's just a typical 3 dot greens glowing bright.
I would recommend Mepros. They're good.
I have the yellow rears on my TruGlo TFOs on my G23.
Those are sweet too.
