Default M&P 22 Update

Hello again. Took a brief hiatus from shooting due to work but I am back to try to figure out if I could find a type of ammo my M&P 22 would shoot without lead fouling as bad as the first two times I shot it.
I really liked this gun but the fouling was a bit frustrating. A lot of you said I should try copper plated ammo and that seemed to do the trick. Federal bulk 550 HP in the blue box seemed to be the one. I put 500 through it today without a cough or stutter. The CCI Mini-Mags shot well also although there were a few that were a bit big/wide and would not load all the way in.
Took three wet patches through the bore and it was clean so I owe you guys a thank you for the help.
I have been shooting Wolf and Ely Match out of my CZ 453 and CCI Blazers out of my 15-22 and never had a leading prob. I guess I was a disbeliever.
Also, the trigger is very smooth now. I really like this gun.

I probably have 3000+ rounds through my… I only use CCI min-mag 40gr copper plated, round nose. I’ve had zero issues, not a single feed issue, or jam. I’ve had maybe 2 or 3 rounds no eject fully.

So far the overall experience is as good as shooting my Ruger mk3 22/45 hunter…

My only grip with the M&P 22… I need more magazines!!!! S&W way behind on supply!

My local dealer said even the 10rd MP22 are NOT CA legal... What's up with that. I really want to pick one up for a new plinker but not Cali legal kind of kills it for me.

Threaded barrel Sorry

FWIW, the Ruger 22/45 Hunter 5" barrel is awesome.

The easiest solution for you is to move.

We shot ours again yesterday and had a great time. Federal 525s ran great and gave a nice report, a good kick, and a big muzzle flash.

My new M&P22 eats CCI "AR Tactical" ammo like candy. The round nose bullets and wax lube really cycle smoothly. It is also copper plated so there are no barrel leading issues.

They said it hasn't been drop tested... and even with 10rd capacity it wont come for a while. Cali sucks. They sell much more dangerous things in this state

CCI M ini Mags appear to function reliably in most of the 22 conversion units as well as 22 pistols. I tend to use the SV amo in my revolvers and bulleye guns and the HV fodder in the 22 conversion units. The only exception is the Marvel #1 which is bullseye level accurate and is totally reliable with SV ammo.
