I just bought my M&P22 today and have been scouring the net in search of magazines. No luck. Out of desperation I decided to call Smith and see if they had any or could point me to a source. I was told that a new shipment of magazines was arriving the first week of December, and they took my back order for 3 magazines. Obviously I had to pay full retail ($33ea I think) but at least I have some...if I can find them cheaper between now and December, I can always cancel the order....

So it looks like I only have to suffer for a couple of weeks or so with one magazine. Based on what I'm seeing in the M&P22 threads here, I'm not the only one in this boat, so I thought I'd pass along the info.

Well you know, almost every make and model of M&P is backordered at every major dealer. The mags are hard to find. They better start ramping up production before the next great gun comes along and demand for the M&P dies.

Yikes... and thanks for the heads up... I'm calling S&W tomorrow to get in front of the line
