Default +P OK in M&P 9L?

I just recently aquired a M&P 9L. Can I use "+P" ammo in it safely? I see nothing in the manual that suggests I can, so am assuming the answer is "no" and best stick with normal 9mm loads. Thanks in advance for your advice.

+P is fine... +P+ at your own risk.

I see nothing in the manual that suggests I can (use +P)
Page 9 of the M&P owners manual states:
Quote:

Use only commercially manufactured ammunition with internal
ballistic pressures which are in strict accordance with the specifications
of the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’Institute (SAAMI). If you are uncertain, contact your ammunitionsupplier for verification.
+P ammunition has SAAMI pressure specifications, so it does specify you can use it.

+P+ does NOT have SAAMI pressusre specifications, and literally means "greater than SAAMI specifications."

Well, thank you for that explanation. I read that page in the manual previously before posting my question and again just now.

I doubt if the average person reading the manual would know, or would take the time to look up the SAAMI specifications of their ammo. I for one didn't, and wouldn't. I guess shame on me.

Thanks again for the insight.
