I am looking to add some granulate texture to my M&P 45 mid and a curious as to what my options are.
I know tru-grip makes some pre cut tape kits but it is kind of expensive. Does anyone have experience with them?
On the other hand Talon Grips is set to put out a pre cut set which are relatively inexpensive and even quite viable when comparing to put tape on myself...

Just looking for some feedback here i guess. I would rather spend a few more dollars to get precut ones rather than try to make it myself only to find out i suck at that kind of stuff.

I do use Talon Grips on all of my polymer handguns. Talon do have a rubberized grip as well as the sandpaper type.

Even though Talon does not have a grip precut for M&P, I ordered one for a Full size Glock frame and did some cutting and adjusting of the grip to make it work.

Tried the Talon sandpaper grips for my carry G21 and wore them for exactly one day. Tood them off because they rubbed my skin raw right threw an under armor t shirt. These grips may be great for the range only or competition guns, but for carry guns, well its not for me. Picked up a G21 Gen 4 and that resolved the grip problem. I now carry a M&P45 mid size for my daily cpl and dont have any problems with the grip. Good luck!

I've got a Talon grip (sandpaper type) on my Glock 27. It's stayed stuck on there really well and does help hang on to this little handful.

I have the rubber grip on my Kahr CM9 and I LOVE it!

I don't feel the need on my M&P considering you can just stipple a spare backstrap and take it off if you decide you don't like it.

Can't wait for Talon's M&P grips! Till then, I put actual skate board grip tape on the small grip plate only. I normally use the medium so I thought id try the tape i had lying around on the small.. Great improvement even though its just on the interchangeable grip.
I dont think you can beat Talon. for 10 bucks a pop, I'm ordering both, and trying the sand first. At the worst I'm out a 20.

I have Talons on all my M&Ps. Also on my Glocks and they make a difference! Just use the rubber, no sandpaper. Stay Safe!

I use the rubber grips on my 9mm (FS) - I love them and am glad I didn't get the granular/sand paper one - the rubber gives plenty of grip for me without hurting my hand.

Try some stair traction tape from Lowe's or Home Depot.. You ain't out much if you don't like it.

Talon has officially released grips for the M&P, M&Pc, and the shield and they are only $12 with free shipping. I just purchased the granular ones for my 9c and used them for the first time at the ranger yesterday. After a couple of hours my hands were a bit rough but I think that will get better and my grip was fantastic! I posted a pic of my gun with the grips here:
