Welcome to the forum. Guns with serial numbers starting "D2" were coming out of the factory in 1970. The factory would probably have identified your gun as a Model 10-6, which is to say sixth design or production change to the Model 10 (which is how these guns were first labeled in 1957). You should see a stamp MOD 10-6 or something similar on the concealed frame surface when you swing the cylinder open.
Value depends on condition. Maybe $275-375. Local availability and demand has a lot to do with pricing.
Don't be surprised if a moderator moves your post to a different section of the forum. The "M&P" designation is applied today to a line of S&W semi-autos, which is what this subforum serves. This thread would find a better home in the 1961-1980 forum in the revolver section.
