M&P 9mm Compact's Magazine loading
Purchased new compact and haven't been to range yet. Really like the pistol; however, I'm finding loading the magazine isn't very easy or quick and it's actually not easy to load. Is this characteristic of the M&P magazines or did I just get to that are excessive stiff? Otherwise, great gun. Any experieces would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Congratulations on your new gun. I also have the same problem with my 9c mags. Everyday I'll unload and reload the mags several times to break the springs in. I also leave the mags loaded to help the break-in process.

I had the same problem with mine when I first bought it. The range master where I shoot had me try one of the speed loaders and it worked great. That was some time ago and now it is much easier to load.

Thanks
Thank you for feedback - appreciate it. I'll get a speedloader at next show.

Another vote for the Uplula...it makes loading a magazine an effortless process.
I haven't found loading the M&P magazines to be too bad...especially since I always use the Uplula now. I have one new magazine for my M&P 45c (8 round) and I cannot get the 8th round in it, no matter what I try. So, I'm going to leave it sit loaded with 7 for a couple of weeks, and see if it loosens up. All the other M&P mags that I've ever had I've been able to load to capacity...the last round might take a little gruntin' and grimacin' when they were brand new, but I got them loaded.

I use my UpLula whenever I'm at the range in order to maximize shooting time. Other than that I still load by hand and I've never really had a problem loading 17 x 9mm. And that's with a reconstructed thumb! Must be all the years of video game playing.

The UpLula is an absolute must have for anyone that shoots more than one magazine.
I take mine to the range along with one or more guns all of which have at least three magazines with a 17 round cap!
Once at the range I unload my weapon(s) and put all my self defense loads into a plastic case(s) for reloading after range practice.
I shoot no less than 100 rounds per range visit and then have to put all my self defense rounds back into my mags which would account for over 200 rounds loaded into a magazine, doing this by hand would tear my fingers and thumb all to pieces.
Go get your self a UpLula!

So I suppose I see from the responses that you will get a UpLula to aid in fast reload of 9 40 caliber and 357 Sig for your new weapon!
Boy that was easy now wasn't it!
Even if you only shoot one magazine which I never do at least three then you will appreciate the ease and less wear on your hands by using this tool, just think of it as an essential item for your range bag!
