40C Conversion
Thoughts and suggestions on buying a conversion barrel to .357 Sig. Lone Wolf, Storm Lake, or stick with a Smith barrel? Smith never seems to have them in stock.

I was debating doing this myself. I asked a few people and they all recommended the Storm Lake barrel.

Friend has the Storm Lake barrel, likes it very much. Thought about it myself, but I've had issues reloading the Sig round. The bullet ogive is unique, and crimp is hard to get right. Not using 9mm bullets, even though same dia.

from what i have gathered, the storm lake conversion is actually made to fit the 40c slide while chamber the 9mm. Whereas the 9mm factory barrel is made to fit the 9mm slide. Dont quote me, but the 9 factory might be a little loose, it will work, but loose.
Just hearsay.

I have the Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel for my 40c and love it! Very accurate, zero problems, and the ammo is MUCH cheaper.

Cheaper? How much cheaper? I'm paying 24 cents per round for .40 180gr ball ammo, and I see some guys paying over a $1 per round for 9mm.
I think cost of ammo is what you want it to be....

I'm currently paying $21/100 for Winchester White Box 9mm at Wally World and $34/100 for .40.

In case you missed it I asked about 40c to 357c not 9c. The 40c to 357c is just a barrel change versus having to buy all new mags for the 9mm.
I have other 9mm guns but not a 357sig.

That's a lot for WWB.
Look around on Gunbroker and you can find .40 ammo for less, usually around $230 - $240 per 1000 rounds.
