Default M&P 9L Sight Adjustment

I have been shooting with a 9L for over a year.
We shoot accurately - the pistol and me - but I want a differnt sight picture.
What I do not like is that I must cover the target - normally a 7 yards to be accurate.
In all other shooting I have the target "on top of the front sight". The old "apple on the post" sight picture.
I shoot 115 gr and 124 gr with the same result. I have a lot to 115 and 124 ammo and want to shoot what I have and not stock other weight ammo.
As the rear sight is adjustable for windage only, I cannot adjust for elevation.
Any suggestions other than shoot it as it is?

Thanks for the help.

LOL, I just put a post out about this for an adjustable rear sight for my Pro 9. I feel your pain, I was out shooting today and switching between my Ruger and M&P and the different sight picture was driving me nuts.

I prefer a "Bullseye" hold myself and find almost all combat guns require a holdover sight picture. I fixed my Pro by installing a shorter Dawson fiber optic on it.

You can file the front site down a hair or buy a lower sight.

It's a combat gun. It's not a pretty gun for with target sights.
