IWB with TLR-1 ?
I have a crossbreed that i love, but they don't offer this holster to fit the M&P9 w/ TLR-1.
Anyone know of a comparable holster with this application?

Can't seem to find anything similar to a crossbreed that accepts a light. I've asked Crossbreed if they can do it. Hopefully they can.
Anyone else ever seen a hybrid that holds a tact light?

A light compatible kydex holster does not use the trigger guard as the retention mechanism. So what you're asking for is a full on kydex shell (all the way down to the light) with leather backing. I do believe there is a company that makes this sort of thing right now...but the name escapes me.
Another option for carrying IWB with a light: RCS sells IWB loops for their Phantom Modular Holsters, but it's a lot of stuff to be stuffing inside your pants. A quality light compatible kydex holster (RCS, FogHolsters) holds the weapon tight to the body and is perfectly concealable under a shirt OWB....that's the direction I would go (and do go) when carrying with a light. You'd be more comfortable concealing OWB. JMO

Are the full kydex holsters like an rcs comfortable as an iwb? They look like they would hurt.

make your own using an old faithful kit, that's what I did for my shield with a laserguard, works well and much cheaper than any of the other custom options.

I've spent a couple hrs looking over kydex making forums now. thanks Motomed.
How hard it is realistically to make a hybrid? The molds seem to intimidate me.

watch the video tutorials on the old faithful website, it really was that easy. I found some seat cushion foam at walmart for a few dollars that worked well and any old scrap of wood will work for the mold if you have the tools to cut out the mold. I also took a small piece of dowel rod and taped it to the top of my slide to make sure there would be enough room for the big dot front sight that i have. I'm sure you could do something similar along the frame if you're concerned about the light being wider than the trigger guard. I played around with it a little and actually molded the kydex a couple of times before I was happy with it and it held up just fine. for the price of the kit I thought it was worth a try and I ended up much happier with it than I thought I might.

I've talked with Crossbreed and they are not interested in creating a holster for an M&P with a tac light.
Sad really. I'm sure they'd sell. Hard to understand why they won't expand their line. Now i'm forced to go to another brand.
WHEN i find a holster, my crossbreeds will be for sale.

i think the reason there's not much or non IWB holsters made for guns with tac lights are these issues...as you can see in the pictures the TLR-1 is big which will make the gun too bulky for IWB carry and another major issue is the switch that will snag inside the pants while drawing the weapon.
