Hi Viz Green Sights for M&P9c
I was going to order the Hi Viz front green sight for my 9c but when I was on Midway's website I saw they sell a matching rear sight. Seems like most people just do the front but wondered what people thought about doing both or if anyone has both and could tell me how they like it.

Why not? You can always change it back if you dont like it. IMHO I would use different colors front and rear for better pick up of your front sight.

That's kinda what I was thinking honestly but then I have to decided what color for the rear sight. I for sure want the green front sight as that is MUCH easier for me to see. After looking around online it seemed that some did the same color and others did opposite colors for contrast. Wish I could see them somewhere to help me decide.

I think red ,green and orange are the colors you can get. I would probley go with green rear and red front. but it's all about what works best for you. when I get my 9fs back from smith I will have to make the same choice.

I just found a pic on this forum that had the front red sight and just a black rear sight (the guy said he just put black paint on the stock rear sight) and it looks really good! Another thing to consider now. What to do, what to do...

Green is normally the most visible color to humans. Front sight.

I prefer all green, front and rear, or green up front and blacked out on the rear, although with blacked out rears, it takes a nano second longer to aquire the target, as you typically have to lower the muzzle slightly and bring it up to make sure the dot up front is 'just right' rather than just aligning three colored dots..

I really like FO front sights, but FO rear seem to confuse my eyes, so I leave the rear black.
Like others have said, we are all different.

Trijicon makes an interesting redish - orange front tritium sight that works real well with blacked out rear sights.

Heres an idea - buy a plastic toy gun - maybe air soft, maybe a 'blue gun" and get some testors model paints, or they sell kits of sights paint, and try some combinations.
For a carry gun, test in less than ideal light conditions.
Depending upon color blindness, age, exposure to certain things - your eyes end up being unique.

I shoot Idpa & USPSA and prefer the front sight only FO sight. Its quick to acquire & w/ black rear sight, w/no momentary confusion if the sights are aligned or distraction by rear sight FOs.
I prefer the hiviz due to its over molding, has less risk of damage.
