Default Striker Assembly

Does anybody have a good source on striker assemblies or are you just better off ordering direct from S&W? I'm not having any problems, just wanting an extra to keep in the range bag. It would be a bad day, shooting at a major match and have a broken striker with no backup.

Thanks
Stan

S&W told me they wouldn't send a striker assembly because it was illegal for them to do so. MidwayUSA has them.

I bought a couple for my MP9c from brownells and I know Midway also sells them. Probably cheaper than they would be at S&W. Both of them supply almost all the parts you may need for the m&ps.

Illegal?? How so? Not doubting you, just wondering about the reasoning.

I will check with Midway. Last time I checked, Midway and Brownells were on backorder.

Thanks.

Kind of iffy, right? I think the CS guy might have been in the dark.

Mine has not broken yet but it is the earlier one with the plastic tab that snaps off. I called S&W and asked for the updated striker, they sent it no questions and no charge.

When did they stop using the plastic tab?

spirit,
Someone with more knowledge than I have will have to answer that question. My gun was test fired in June of 2008.
